At Morex Custom, surfing is more than just a sport: it's a way of life, deeply rooted in our DNA. Since our beginnings, we've always sought to collaborate with exceptional craftsmen who share our vision of superior quality and unique know-how. This quest for excellence naturally led us to the MD Surfboards workshop in Saint-Malo, which perfectly embodies the values we cherish: local craftsmanship, technical performance and sustainable production. For us, it's an opportunity to work with a local player, capable of manufacturing top-quality boards in France, close to our heart at the Morex Custom House in Rennes.
MD Surfboards: Breton craftsmanship at the service of performance
MD Surfboards is renowned for its expertise in the manufacture of modern, high-performance, environmentally-friendly boards. Founded by Malo Dourver, this workshop makes a point of offering boards designed from recycled and recyclable materials, in an eco-responsible approach, without ever compromising quality or performance. This respect for resources and technical mastery are precisely what drew us to work with them.
This close-knit relationship enables us not only to guarantee impeccable quality, but also to offer a responsive and personalized after-sales service, including local repairs, guaranteeing optimum longevity for our boards. What's more, the workshop's know-how and knowledge of the "Breton terrain" enable us to offer boards that are perfectly adapted to local conditions.
A Collection of Unique Boards
Together, we designed a unique collection of ten boards, combining MD's technical know-how with Morex's own aesthetic. These boards, crafted in Saint-Malo, are the reflection of artisanal expertise and in-depth research into performance. Each model in this collection is based on three of MD Surfboards' iconic shapes.

Aesthetically, we wanted to create true collector's items. Each board features a unique "smoked" effect, with a matte finish in refined tones aligned with the Morex color palette. What's more, our signature pewter medallion, also featured on each motorized model, is meticulously inlaid under the glaze of each board. This medallion is handcrafted in a small Normandy workshop by Marc, a talented artist who gives each model an extra touch of authenticity (see "the medallion" video available on Youtube).
A blend of modernity and tradition
With this collaboration, we wanted to unite our image, strongly rooted in surf culture, with that of MD surfboard, whose expertise is no longer in question. Combining modernity and craftsmanship, the exclusive collection of ten unique models is both aesthetically pleasing and high-performance. More than just a production of boards, this collection is the expression of a shared passion for surfing, a desire to bring together the best local talent and offer surfers boards designed with the utmost care for both performance and design.
