My name is Tanguy LaBertrande, I'm 26 years old and I come from Aix en Provence. I've been riding bmx since I was 12.

BMX freestyle is a variant of BMX that focuses on performing tricks in the air and also on the ground. This discipline is mainly practiced in a skatepark.

I started by doing dirt, which is a discipline similar to BMX, but with bigger wheels. One day, during a visit to the skatepark, I discovered people practicing BMX. From that moment I bought a BMX and since then I haven't stopped practicing! I was only 12 years old.

Indeed, I started competitions very early in my life. Although I didn't initially have a competitive mentality, it allowed me to get exposure and find sponsors. However, today, I am much less competitive. I don't feel like I belong anymore and it's for this reason that I started to reduce my participation in competitions about 4-5 years ago. The sport has become more popular and I feel like the spirit of before has been lost in competition.

My most striking memory would probably be my first participation in the Fise (International Festival of Extreme Sports) , I was young, it was the first evening, we met a lot of people... This is where it all begins!

In 2017, during the Roc d'Azur in Fréjus, I finished second just before Anthony Jean Jean , who was one of the best French people at the time!

In winter, I mainly practice at the Palais in Marseille. Apart from that, I bowl a lot, so I spend a lot of time riding at the Prado.

My biggest fall was not very serious, just a shoulder dislocation twice in two months. Otherwise, I had a few sprains and minor fractures, but nothing too major. All in all, I'm pretty lucky!

It's usually the weekend. Friday is dedicated to competition training. Saturday is the qualifications, where everyone passes in turn. You have two runs of 60 seconds to perform as many tricks as possible. There is also the Best Tricks competition, where the person who performs the best trick is rewarded. Usually, a four-member jury evaluates your performance.

I would choose Marvel's "Endgame".

I will say two: Drake and PLK.

My biggest dream is to go to Australia to ride BMX. Also, my biggest sponsor is there, so it's a dream I've always had.

I would say that travel is a great source of inspiration for me!

I love the lifestyle of the brand, the custom bikes, the design, especially their logo. And I must say that the quality of the clothes is really excellent!
